It's turning out to be a fairly nice day today, at least it says that it's 50 degrees outside.  I know us west coasters are pansies but we can't take that cold that the east coast does....brrrrrr

Finally got the walls in the family room painted and faux painted them in leather technique....I'm pretty impressed with myself and how it turned out.  I did a green, the bottom is a 'glass shop green' and the top is a 'bermuda grass'.  Mixed with the faux finish it is not dark at all.   The pictures are a little hard to see but here goes.

Once it's all back together I'll take some more picture's and see if they will turn out better.  It's hard with the faux finish for it to show up.

Well finally doing better today, the steriods are starting to work.  At least I think I make the effort to go and have my nails done today. 

The weather is so cold here though, I know I live on the west coast but when it's in the 30's it is cold to us.  And that cold weather plays havoc on my asthma, if you didn't know, cold is terrible for asthma.

This is short hopefully I'll get around to some additional sites and say hello to everyone. 

Sorry I haven't been on much again I've let a bad asthma attack sneek up on me and ended up pretty bad.  Now I'm on steriods, antibotics, cough medicine with codine and feeling pretty lousey!

We went to Sacramento yesterday with a friend.  He had to take some french doors to his sisters house for storage, we have the pick-up you know

After we dropped them off and went and ate we headed for this great place called "Three Women & and Armoire".  This is one of the best places to look for antiques at very reasonable prices.  I believe they obtain this from estate sales, junk yards and re-finish and sell at amazing prices.  I found this wonderful antique solid mahogany curio cabinet that was awesome and $695.  Anyplace else you wouldn't be able to touch this from under $2000.  No, I didn't bring it home.  We still are working on the house and I wanted to be sure it was the right size prior to splurging.  I figure if it's not there when I'm ready it wasn't meant to be.

On to the topic of my MIL....she had another chemo session on Friday and all went very well.  She saw her Oncologist as well and he indicated from the last blood test that there were less cancer cells in her blood....the chemo is working.  Now since I didn't go to the doctor's appointment I cannot say for sure that is what was said.  Unfortunately, sometimes the family does not interrupt statements accurately....I will make sure that either my hubby or I attend the next one.

We are getting excited here my nephew (ChattyCat's son) will be arriving late Friday evening and we are both looking forward to seeing him, as well as the rest of the family.  I will be on-call starting midnight tonight the 11th on 7x24 so not sure I will be able to leave the house.  I have to be 15 minutes within the phone and my laptop in the event I get a page.  Generally that means I do not leave the house.  We'll see how things go.

I had a haircut and color last night...if I didn't say anything I'm really a blonde (no, not one of those scattered brain ones either)  but I have gone red, or should I say burgundy.  This is the second time she has colored it (every 8 weeks we have decided on) and she really went dark this time.  If your not aware when your a natural blonde and go that dark it has a tendency to wash out.  Everyone in the salon thought I would walk in with pink hair.  It did hold the color pretty well but I didn't realize just how much had washed out until she was done.   Anyway...it's fun and I love the change!

I'm searching for a couple of good packages to Hawaii for sometime next month.  My hubby has decided to have his re-constructive surgery probably around March, so he wants to take a couple of weeks and go for rest and relaxation prior to having this done.  This will be a scary surgery, we have been told a minimum of 10 days in the hospital with at least 4 of those in ICU.  There are several series side affects and they need him there in the event any of them occur. 

If anyone knows of any good prices I would appreciate the info.  Take care and I'll get to everyone's sites as soon as I can.

Hey all thought I'd take a minute to say hello, my day at work is done...the laptop is turned off and my PC is working now

My MIL had a very good appointment last Friday with her chemo...this was her third treatment and so far she is doing great.  He is not getting sick or has not started to loose her hair either.  One great success was she gained 2.4 pounds.  This is her first weight gain in over 7 months, it has all been weight lose. 

She is very excited that her grandson will be coming up on the 16th of this month.  Cathy...we need to talk girl, we got an earful on Saturday.  Joe offered (to his Dad) that we could pick Ryan up at the airport on Friday night since it was late and he doesn't like to go to the Oakland airport.   We were with the response we got....

I can't believe she's gone
