Well...we had an interesting visit with the Spine Center this morning. The good news is the doctor feels that he can get along without surgery, the bad news is he wants to do a fluoroscopy lumbar epidural injection to relieve the pain and help initiate the healing process. They are in the process of getting the authorization and will then schedule the procedure. This doctor has done over 3000 of these procedures so we feel pretty confident he knows what he is doing.
We are meeting friends in SF tonight (the ones we went to Australia with) and going to dinner at a XYZ, a restaurant at W San Francisco.
Everyone have a great weekend and enjoy the 3 days off.

Oh yikes an epidural .. hope it goes well and hurts little and those of us who have had kids know how that feels

Wow...hope everthing goes fine...you still didnt tell me what happened...I love S.F.!!! It's soo beautiful...I lived in so.cal huntington beach for 7 years. Plan onmoving back at the end of summer

Hey girl...I can sympathize with your hubby...I have a back that cannot be fixed....so I have to deal with it....but I hope that they will be able to get him mended and soon!

Wow - I can't imagine the horror you lived through in the aftermath of the fire tragedy. Journalists make it unberable for victim's, their families and their loved ones. All in the name of the public has a right to know. *sigh* I wanted to be a journalist as a youngster till I figured out what they really did to people and decided there was no way I could do that.

One good thing is that he doesn't have to have surgery. But I don't know if I could stand the needle. Is it going to be in the spine or the muscles around it? Either way, sounds painful. Hope this treatment will help him.

I can so relate!! I've had 2of those so far. At least with mine I've been put in a light sleep so I never remember it. The first one did a huge amount of good, but the second one was not worth it. Hugs to both of you. Sorry I haven't been around in a while. I've had so much on my mind.
