  • Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I don't think it would have mattered since those Xanga gods were not being very cooperative!  My cousin who is just about the only family member I have left had a severe asthma attack last weekend and almost died.  She lives about 2 hours from us up north and I have spent a lot of time going back and forth this week as well as I will need to for the next couple of weeks.  They found a spot on her lung and she now needs to have a biopsy...and she is scared...very scared!  She has 2 daughters, one in Washington the other in the service in Germany.  Darla (daughter in service) will be here today for a week to see if we can get things going for her.

Sorry I haven't been to your sites...I'll get back into the swing of things once I get her though this.  We are trying to talk her into selling her place and moving very close to us so she has more of a support system.

Our hearts go out to the family's of the astronauts on the Columbia...

  • Hey Susie... Nice to see you again. Thanks for the visit.

Yes, the nation will once again pull together and grieve for our lost heros. We sure have had our share of grieving of late... God Bless and Keep them.

  • Sorry to hear about your cousin, hopefully the spot won't be anything serious. Nice that her daughter will be there with her at least for next week. 2 hours from you, where would that be, Reno??, Tahoe??, Modesto?? You be careful going back & forth, especially if it is wet...I know you already know this but if the roads are wet, DO NOT use your cruise control!!  There...I feel better, now.

I agree we have had our share of tragedies, can you believe this latest one...looks like they were safer in space than coming back, how sad.  Of course with my overactive imagination, I wondered if there was an altitude bomb from some terrorist...you know, as long as they were high up it stayed stable but once they got to a certain altitude, it blew. Tim says no & I guess it was the shields. I should be a detective!!

As for the job thing, I am going to write to the President of my Union & the Governor...it may not do any good but at least I will have done all that I can do.  In the meantime, I guess I will just sub or go through a temp agency....well, not this month, maybe next.

  • Sorry to hear about your cousin, I hope everythings ok.  Take care and hope you have a good week

  • Awww hon if it isn't one thing it is another isn't it.  I think we finally figured out where my water weight came from.  Thanks to beachgirl telling me to check all my meds at walgreens.com.  I did and going back 3 years to when it all started, when I had pneumonia the first time.  It was the prednisone if I am right.  One of the things it says to watch for is severe swelling of the legs and feet along with weight gain.  Helloooo why did I not see this before.  So . . . . . maybe things will get a bit better here.   You take care of you and your cousin and we will all be here when you get back.  I will keep you all in my prayers.   Much love and many hugs to you all! ! ! !
