Happy New Year
Everyone have a safe and fun New Year's Eve. If you are going out remember to have someone within your party be the designated driver, if your staying home have a Happy New Year!
I had gone to Stargazers site and he had posted a letter he had received from a group that he is a member of. That letter had to due with a petition that would stop vendors from selling disgusting "souvenirs" of that horrible day at ground zero. I went and signed that petition and the following is a copy of the letter I received:

I have just read and signed the online petition: "CREATE A VENDOR FREE ZONE AT GROUND ZERO" hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider signing yourself.
You can now choose to do one of two things, either go and sign the petition or ignore it. I do not usually get on my soapbox about political stuff but this one just irks me and I think we need to stop them immediately. If everyone would stop buying the stuff we wouldn't need to sign this petition but....obviously that is not the case
so we need to do it by other means.
Thanks for allowing me to vent my frustration here, but I have a problem with someone capitalizing on the devastation that occurred on 9/11 by uncaring stupid terrorists!

When my brother went to NY early this year , its what upset him the most was seeing those vendors at such a place like Ground Zero

You know I agree with it. I will go and sign it. It is terrible people making money off that.
I hope you have a Happy New Year full of happiness and love. I think we both can use of some peace of mind. As far as tonight, I will be staying home watching two of the little loves in my life with the ball dropping on TV. I think that could be the best hug and kiss at midnight I could have.
One thing I am thankful for the year 2002, I got to know you and have you for a friend. You are one special lady with a big heart. That is worth more than anything. Thank you. {{{hugs}}} and

I have been to Stargazers site and saw this and I agree. People are so money thirsty they could care less how they make the money. I hope you have a happy New Year. You're a very special person with a big heart we need more people like you. {{{Hugs}}}

I totally agree with you on people making money out of this dreadful tragedy....why anyone with any decency about them at all would want to buy a "souvenir" from this dreadful day.....well I just can't understand the mentality, that's all I can say.
